[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dedicated to my bird shooting mentor.....who showed me the light! I waited for this one-for a long time. This shot was a blessing in disguise due to some human intervention. A fishing boat appeared along the river moving closer to the pipeline bridge that these egrets were perched on. This arrival created huge panic among the group of egrets and this one flew towards my direction and I was lucky enough to get a closer perspective of this beautiful Egret in flight zooming past above me. I luckily set my shutter speed to 1/2000 second as I had a hunch that the golden hour backlight will work in my favour, allowing me to keep my ISO at 200 to minimize grain and preserve finer details.

I cropped negative space using square format and placed the bird in "Triangular" quadrant to give this a different POV. Hope you like it and comments, critiques and/or workshops always welcome.

The diagonal axis of the bird adds superb dynamism. Excellent backlighting with a wonderful translucent light through the outstretched wings of the bird. Terima kasih!
