Hi Dilshan!
When I saw this photo, I thought, "Oh, this is my favorite!" Then I saw that it was for me.:) This is so very nice Dilshan. You could not have posted a better one for me! I love the sepia tone. I imagine we all must have some fond memories; it would be a terrible shame to not have. It was a simple life. I remember so many times my mother would tell us that we would not be getting any presents for Christmas, but we always seemed to get something, and were happy with anything. The life difficulties my mother experienced were well hidden from me. My job was to go play and have fun.
Thank you so much my friend!

HI Dilshan
Sepia is the perfect choice, it does remind me of my old days when the toys we had, we made out of things found in nature like stones and sticks. We played outside for hours on end not wanting to go in for bedtime. They were the good old days when everything was safe.
She reflects the beauty of a young innocent child.YOu did a very good job with the shot.
Dennis does appreciate it and so do I

Ciao Dilshan
I was reading your story, and I found myself a little in the situation that you met with your old tire, rolling the
down the road, I did this many times, and swam in rivers
with cameras who were inside the tires of cars.
Children very fun
A beautiful shot and great choice of sepia in the picture.
Execellent captured, good composed, lovely presentation.
I wish you a nice weekend,
Sergio

good photo Dilshan, I like the sepia treatment...the direction of the girl towards the negative space made the photo effective! freezing her walk made it dramatic... and the lines and geometry of the wood added to the photo.. well done... TFS

Hello Dilshan,
Interesting notes and ones, I feel, with which many of us could indentify.
You have captured, and frozen in time, the carefreeness of innocent youth. I love her expression. The fact that he is barefooted adds a lot to the impression of 'carefree'.
Your dof is perfect, focussing on the subject but providing a useful, oof b/g.
I like your choice of sepia. It does give the shot a timelessness.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Dilshan
The warm reddish magenta sepia tone works well here. Ideal sharpness on the girl with good use of a shallow dof. I immediately thought this was taken at a Kampong Ayer (water village) when I saw it. Tfs!

Nice choice of f stop Dilshan - the focus on the girl is good and sharp and the BG nicely blurred!!
I would crop in a little here though - I find the large white area top left a bit distracting. I feel that my eyes are drawn up there and away from the subject!!
Good go with the sepia style - always works well.

Hi Dilshan,
I saw this yesterday, but waited to post a critique/comment. I, too remember a simpler life and your's and Dot's note sum things up well. Viewing this little girl living a simple, yet most likely happy life, gives me much to think about. The sepia treatment is appropriate, and I agree with David that the white area can be cropped out. TFS

Werner

dear Dilshan Mahdi,
this girl looks flying in her dream world,
for girl and boy, actual and dream worlds are mixed, they live both worlds at a time,
and in this your shot, her eyes and posture show us that mixed fantastic world she now imagines in this fine breeze.
very delicate moment of her, you took,
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Dilshan..very nice black and white shot..nice light and range of tones...
Roger
Perfect timing resulting in a touching daily life shot, Dilshan. The innocence of childhood is very well conveyed here.
Aesthetically, the sepia conversion is nice, but I would somehow have preferred a "simple" black & white photo - maybe just because I don't associate sepia with street photography.
I agree with "Whiteknight" about a (slightly) tighter crop being better, in order to put the focus still more on the little girl.
I'm trying to figure out how you achieved your depth of field. Just by focussing on the girl (combined with your other photographic parameters, especially aperture) or did you blur the background by PP (I don't read that in your note, so I suppose you didn't...)?
Anyway, nice work!
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
