This was taken a while ago with my friend's 85mm 1.8 D lens which I borrowed to shoot my daughter's Ballet exam. This was taken after the event as we promised to treat her at a nearby restaurant and I managed to get this candid photo of her while she was sipping away on her milk shake.

Hello Dilshan,
Excellent candid shot of your lovely daughter! Good pov and composition.

Have a nice day.
abhijit.

Always tempting to open those lenses right up in terms of aperture, and the drawback is that it creates a very shallow field of focus - usually too shallow for a portrait.

Case in point here - the bridge of her nose, her right cheek, and her fingers are sharply in focus. Her eyes are not as sharp. Her right eye is definitely blurred and her left eye is focused only in certain parts, similarly her lips and her nose.

I think if you'd pushed up the ISO and stopped down the aperture you would've had a better result for this one.

All of those things said, the composition of this shot is great, the look she's giving the camera is lovely. She makes a beautiful little model and it looks like you had fun with that lens!

Faces of human is always attractive in phototaking.
Nikon D90 is a good camera.
Despite the focus is not sharp enough, however, the composition is great.
Thank you for browsing my album very often.
Your comments are valuable no matter it is positive or nebative.
This is what I need. Thank you.
