Shot during a nature outing, I spotted this large bumble bee at rest. However it did not like being approached too close and this was the closest shot I could get of him without scaring him off. It did however return back to the same spot every time it flew off. I will post some more pictures of this guy flying in and landing on the wooden pole next time. Any comments, critiques, and workshops welcome. Thanks for dropping by.

amazing photo my friend! you were able to get out the most out of your lens here... 300mm worked well in able not to disturb the bee... great timing and the DOF is terrific... well done and TFS
