| I have been away for nearly a week from TL as I took a long break in Kota Kina Balu, Sabah, Malaysia on a family holiday! Well this gibbon was taken hanging around on some bamboo trees in Lok Kawi National Park which is home to some amazing species of wild life only found in Borneo. I absolutely loved this trip and will post some interesting pictures over the coming days from this trip. Used spot metering here as the lighting was very tricky and these guys kept moving around hiding their faces in the thick bamboo bushes. Any comments welcome..... |

Hello Dilshan,
Excellent shot.
You perfectly catched the monkey face. Good focus, clarity, sharp details, natural colors, light tones and DOF.
Best regards,
Tatjana
P. S.Sorry, out of my point - budget today :( Hope you won't mind.

hello Dilshan,
the beautiful little muzzle, the nice light on... hair. The good shot!
regards

In most parts of the world this shot could only be caught in a zoo. The fact that you were just in the wild is impressive enough - and it's a great capture. The light worked well in your favour, especially the reflected (or is it flash?) light that has caught its eyes.
Impressive!
