My dream realised this holiday season. You ask why? Well..this is my first spotting of one of many species of a wild pitcher plant native to Borneo. I have always wanted to photograph one of these in their native habitat and was thrilled when I discovered this in Lok Kawi National Park in KK. I had to use my on-board flash on this one as the forest was not the best lit stage due to heavy canopy shading the bottom feeders and used my trusty 70-300 Nikon VR for this one. Switched to Manual mode and CWA metering. Cropped and resized for TL upload. Any comments welcome....
cheers,
Dilshan |

Hi Dilshan,
You present us an interesting catch.
Excellent macro, very well presented. Each have read a dream come true wish. Your dream was fulfilled. Congratulations and expect from you and other images.
Have a nice weekend,
Adrian
Hi Dilshan,
I have seen the domesticated variety of pitcher plants but not the wild ones. And so this is indeed a treat. It is most fascinating and of course I examine it with at lenbth and wonder about its trapping mechanisms. Your tech settings appear optimum in rendering a well metered and sharp image. Well done.
Danilo
