Although I already traveled to Phnom Penh and Siem Reab two years ago, plus the current stack of US military maps of the area to prevent me from getting lost, I didn't feel safe enough to move by myself around the country with millions of riel in possession.

With precaution of crime, I have asked my young nephew to accompany me. He is from Lang Co. He doesn't speak any foreign language, nor travel away from home province, but I relied much on his quick judgment of the situation, and his physical body to carry my backpack of photo equipment. When you trek alone to countryside without a second human being, a tiny accident could cost your life.

With his help, we finally got our task done and each returned home in one piece.

Thank you very much, Thái. I hope I could have your help again next time I revisit Indochina.
