Reflections of Banteay Srei

Unbelievable...I planned to post a picture from Banteay Srei, planned everything so when I would came home after work I would post the picture. I opened TL first and looked in the Gallery and what did I saw? this image posted by Kilted-Arab!

So after calling him some nice words (I won’t call it swearing :-) I went back to the “drawing board” and my picture library to find another Banteay Srei image...and here it is, the reflection of the temple complex and it’s surrounding in the canal at this beautiful site...enjoy!

Oh...in the WS you find a portrait of my TL-pal Kilted-Arab were you can see why he likes Angkor so much :-)

Hi Hans,
I don't want make injury to Kilted-Arab, but I prefer
your photo! ;) Wonderful reflections, composition and colors. Original presentation too! Very nicely done! Annie

Hi Hans

Oups, your photo is upside down.LOL. Very original presentation of that reflection. In fact, if you didn't have kept the few grass in the foreground, I would have said you had cheated. Very good crop and technique. The reflection is so sharp I thought is was just rotation trick.
Bravo
Serge

Hello Hans, I haven't seen 'Kilted Arab's' picture yet,but this is an outstanding reflection. The details are so clear.I love the way that the reflection is 'broken' by the lily pads.Colours are beautiful too.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hee Hans,
Beautiful reflections!
I like the colors and the asian atmosphere.
Good idea to mirror the title in the image.
greetings,
Joop!

Mooi gedaan Hansie prachtige spiegeling, alleen de letters gaven mij een probleem, ik zit hier namelijk met een glaasje cognac en ik ben mijn leesbril kwijt, vandaar. Prima kleuren en schrp als een mes.

Wow, you really earned your money with this one Hans! Beautiful.
Perfect metering, great composition, the reflection of temple and tree both occupy very strong parts of the frame, with beautiful tones and saturation surrounding it all.
Great work mate!

Hi Hans

Very good view of still reflections of architecture with trees, I like the sharp contrast even in the water with lilies, well done. TFS

cheers, bill

:-)

Hey Hans! I think the best workshop you have ever posted, and for that alone, full marks!

If I remember correctly, you took this shot because you wanted to keep your camera low and hidden from the gaze of other tourists. Well, it worked and you pulled off a lovely and original shots - very nice indeed!

(oh, and cute touch with the title in the frame!)

Oh Hans...

Die omgekeerde title vind ik wel aardig kazig hahaha. Maar de foto is echt een prachtige reflectie. Heel mooi! :-)

Groetjes,
Dennis

Hi Hans

Reflections..... you are fast thinking man... compositions and the creativity is just great

Amri HMS

Hi Hans,
This is like a painting on glass! Wonderful sharpness, beautiful colors and reflections.

Hey Hans

Isn't that funny - I know exactly where you was standing when you took this one ;) ?!

You create a differnet view by putting the main attraction to the reflections and not to the building itself.. Colours are great and the setting itself a creative idea.
