A bit kitsch for my tastes, but tourists are welcome to stand behind this headless warrior, at the terracotta warriors mold factory in Xian.

Hi Chris, This is a bit of fun. Some ceramic soldiers are in a hotel lobby in Beijing and they are certainly impressive. Xian is such a drawcard, i plan to visit there one day. Nasty looking weapons in those olden days. TFS. Murray.

Very good contrast. The composition and the colours are excellent and very interesting.
Best wishes,
Achim

I think this is sort of a commentary about their view of tourists. :-) But there is a platform for children back there. Nice sharp image with excellent color and detail. Well done.

TFS!

Hello Chris

I find these small sculptures the maximum.
Of a beauty and done by such delicate hands.
Wonderful visual, it is fantastic that.
Another day I was seeing a matter on these terracotta warriors, I found fantastic. I learned a more little of this culture.
Congratulations for the beautiful look!

Ha! So that's what its there for. And you didn't get someone to take your photo Chris? Anything for the tourist dollars.
So the warriors are now molded and made? Did you go to see the real buried soldiers? We had an exhibition of many items from there in our Art gallery a few years ago - it was a great display - I really enjoyed going through the exhibition.
Cheers
Janice

THanks Chris for adding that WS - What a place to visit. Quite amazing isn't it?

If you too feel it a little kitsch, You don't see offence if i let go my first words as i saw it? In a Workshop!
For me a prefer the meal.. It always bring me more then an artefact that even by here i saw some often reproduction of the style.
It's well made... THe only detail... I would not make the workshop again... but removing the other part of pedestal would be a good thing to not disturb.
For the rest it's excellent Kitch or not they have nice presence and light is good!

white balance, exposure, aperture are well control. balance composition with headless warrior in the middle. i ever tried on same kind of composition in an exhibition but the outcome was disappointing.thanks for sharing. well done!

I like your sense of humor! The headless warrior arouse my curiosity how he is lokk like!Good POV!
