[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
With the 3 days mourning, for the 70,000 dead & missing in China from the May 12 earthquake, I thought that this was an appropriate upload for today. I like the 5 masks here. Taken at the Huaqing Pool Temple, outside Xi'an, in Shaanxi province, which adjoins Sichuan province in the north east. From Wikitravel:

"Huaqing Palace (华清池 Huáqīngchí), was built by the Tang emperor Xuanzong, near hot springs at the foot of Li Shan, in Lintong County, so he could frolic with his favoured Imperial Lady Yang, to his heart's content."

Footnote: Yes, I noticed the roofs are slightly tilted, but I've composed this, so that the stairs at the bottom of the frame, are level. Anyone is welcome to do a workshop, with perspective correction, if they have the time.

REally love the colours in this!
The tragic masks add to the mourning mood -- an excellent image for this memorial
