The Xian Wall
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The city of Xi'an is known for its terracotta worriors and an entire army was made to replicate real people in China's early years near 228 BC. However Xi'an also has an ancient city wall pictured here and is the only city wall totally intact in China.
The chatted with the old farmer who in 1974 discouvered the terracotta site. An interesting and modest man. He signed a book by his name and gave it to me. Whenever I can go here I take time to say hello.
The city wall takes and hour by bicycle to circumnavigate. The wall is clear uptop and a bike trip is possible from end to end. Many days have fog such as this and I feel it adds dimension to the far away feel of the wall's length. |

excellent POV, interesting 'pink' tones, nice mood of the mist far away, square format works well
