Hi Ted - I like the black BG as that's effective in bringing the superb colours out clearly. Interesting arrangement of the fruit in the picture too - looks good.

My main issue technically is lack of overall sharpness in this shot - only really the segment of orange in the bottom right is actually in focus.. And the kiwi fruit at top right. Obviously the wide aperture of f3.5 means you have a very narrow DOF so I would suggest using a tripod and smaller aperture..

Hi Ted colors certainly show well on the black bg, but not sure that your F3.5 was a good choice. David (whiteknight) has commented well on this issue.

Good idea and use of the fruit.
