[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another working class hero I've met when working in China.
This guy sat down at a sewing machine and posed when I took out my camera. I'm not sure exactly what his job was.

I know there is some over exposure in this one. The light was difficult with strong natural light coming through big windows on his right as the only light source.

I converted it to B/W in Adobe Elements using remove color. Increased contrast and might have cropped it a little.

Excellent, again. I like the presence of OOF objects in front of and behind him, it places him in the context skillfully. I wouldn't worry about overexposure - HINT: in BW images, not only is OE less noticeable than in color, but also a neat way to either achieve subject isolation (through contrast, like in this one, guy vs white wall), or to give glow/focal point (like in your previous photo, "the reception"

Good job :)

Hi, Jens!

Good composition and BW converted shot.
At the back detailless (burned out) there are parts, which are slightly disturbing.

Generally Note unnecessary to the interpretation of a picture my opinion, since there is trouble if it is necessary to explain the picture already...

(I find it offensive moreover the "working class hero". He is a man, who would like to work, to live and would like to be happy.)

Hi Jens,
reat portrait of this working class hero :-) The blurred part in the foreround add some nice depth into this picture. Excellent composition and the pose of the lad is priceless.

Really good shot here, Jens!! This is nicely done. Good light, good DOF, good composition and a perfect capture of the expression and pose of your subject.
Nice delivery in b&w.

Hi Jens,

given the shooting conditions (lightning, spontaneous situation) I'd say it is an excellent shot.
Concerning the job of that guy, hmmm - maybe happy working class hero, but maybe rather public relations officer ... ?

Thank you for sharing it,
Attila
