[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was in Shanghai last December (bloody cold! and it wasn't even winter) for a Marketing Conference. That day, the session ended early so me and my colleague decided to take a little trip to Pudong.
Nothing much was happening and we were just walking around when we saw the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. We decided to just kill time there...
As we were walking towards it, the sun was setting behind it, and i thought of trying to capture some flare. And this is the result.
The building was actually darker, so I focused my lens on that (is this what they call metering?) and re-composed to kinda center the setting sun partially covered by the structures. (was that a bad idea to center the sun..?) I switched to f/22, guessing that it would manage the flare to produce something like apertures stars (on night shots).
PP just limited to minor contrast adjustment and re-sizing. no cropping or color enhancements done.
Thanks for looking! Cheers!
