[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Great Wall - on a very overcast and dull day.. Luckily the rain held off. This is the wall at 'Mutianyu', about an 80 minute drive from Beijing..

It's quiet here - compared to the very popular section of wall at 'Badaling', easier to get those 'empty wall' photos - however here I've uploaded a shot showing a few people if only just to give a sense of scale...

Only change to the photo is a slight adjustment to the contrast....

Love this one David! Love how the road just zigzags through the shot, very nice greens, love how you did this one! What a sight!

Hi David,

I have a friend who went there in the spring, and my brother went when he worked with the Harleem Globetrotters. Both said it was absolutely amazing! It's on my "must see" list for one day! There photos were more close up though...nice, but this really shows perspective!

I think this is fascinating. The lush green trees, the brown bricks, the peaceful sense I feel looking at it. I'm glad you included the people for your reason stated.

Have you flown over the wall? That would certainly be an outstanding view, and photo too!

Enjoy your day David, Lisa

Hello David.
Nice view of this part of the famous Chinese wall.
Picture wise, there is a kind of blurr hanging over it.
Maybe the humidity after the rain ?
Best regards from Jan

Fabulous composotion David with the wall/walkway leading in from the upper right. You got some great clarity here despite the overcast.
Well seen and captured.

Hi David,
Lucky you are to have visited this beautiful country!
Very nice composition with the placement of the house and the wall stair. I propose you a workshop where I trid to accentuate the contrast on the colors for enhancing the different ground levels of this spectacular view! Bravo! Annie

Hi David
A great shot of the Great Wall; the composition is strong with the building well placed and the diagonal line of the wall adding to the impact, and the colours are nicely saturated. Having the people in the shot as a sense of scale is interesting for those of use who have never been there as it does give us a good idea of how large and magnificent this structure is. Nice one.
Cheers
Elizabeth

well done,
Shelby
