| This rather simple concrete statue surrounded by newly planted flowers is near one of theentrances of this huge Youth Park. Walking through here early in the morning to work on the other side is a rather interesting experience with hundreds of mainly older residents doing their early morning TaiChi and exercises. |

HI Murray,
I am struck by this timeless feeling statue against the modern buildings and transient plants. I think if there were more people the one wouldn't bother me as much as he does. Still very nice image.
take care,
John
Hello Murry.
Good looking picture of that statue in the park.
Sure it is a nice trip when you go to work through the park.
It makes the day, more joyfull.

HI Murray
Certainly an empty park is not what I'd expect to see in China ... that was the first thing that caught my eye.
The second was the fact that here is a statue surrounded by flowers; somehow, it offers a poignant irony to the chaos that shook China in the 1960s and the ruthless destruction of all things bourgeois.
The central placement and square frame works quite nicely here, with good metering and detail.

Hello Murray,
I see you made a study of artwork in Shenyang parks!
This is, to my humble knowledge, a fine piece of art which is well depicted...
The image is well composed with a fine feeling of depth, good clarity in colours and the modern China is well visible in the back!
Greetings,
Pablo -
