Hoi Ennie,
Yeah, I made a trip on a (very small) boat at Lake Erhai (Dali) with these cormorants fishers. This are amazing birds, very well captured by you, no disturbing background or whatsoever. The sharp focus is on the birds head. Fine capture perfectly framed although I wouldn't have put my name into the image itself, but in the frame.
But anyway,TFS this nice photo!

Ik lees over de vis- vogels.. heb dat vaak gezien in Discovery Channel .. heel apart, Fijn weekend and 'gruten'

Fijn om een foto van zo dichtbij te hebben. Deze vismethode is geweldig gevonden al zal het niet zo fijn zijn voor de vogels zelf...
De meeste foto's van deze vogels worden getrokken al werkend op de boot. Dit is een totaal ander zicht en zeer fijn om te zien.

Een mooie getrainde visser - een heel bijzonder verhaal Anneke - onvoorstelbaar eigenlijk.
Moest even glimlachen toen je zei I cropped the head off - klinkt wel een beetje geweldadig....
TFS alweer een stukje China, dat voor mij geheel onbekend is.

Zo zeg, wat heb je deze goed vastgelegd ! Ragscherp, mooie kleuren en belichting, mooi los vd achtergrond, etc.! En nog interessant ook. :-)
Zielig voor die vogels, dat wel, maar de kleine visjes kunnen ze zelf eten begrijp ik.

Great details, especially around the eye! I like the portrait style rather than the whole body shot as this definately focuses attention on the head. Great stuff!
