The huge Tibetan Buddhist monastery at Shigaste now has a mere fraction of the previous population, it once boosted, before Chinese occupation. The outer buildings are crumbling back into the earth. Monks still live inside some of the ancient buildings. The modern buildings seen in the distance are Chinese.

Hi Gloria,
Not like the Potala or major monasteries architecturally speaking so it seems but nevertheless looks impressive even from a distance, nice view with an interesting sky here,fine day for a photo too,
