I found this rusted, old fire hydrant at a place called "Green Green World" in Shenzhen. It's a park with farm animals, traditional village buildings, hiking trails, and a man-made rainforest.
It didn't look as though this hydrant has ever been used, and I wonder if it still can be used in case of an emergency - but don't tell the authorities!
Somebody told me that this fire hydrant isn't a "good" colour - it should be red! But, this is how I found it, a rusted, faded, orange-redish-brown fire hydrant.
PP: I restored some "life" back into the picture by adjusting the colour curves.
I'd appreciate your comments. |

Heee ! Beautiful Hydrant. I 've never seen one like this before.
The background is well controled, with a nice blur.
But this photo isn't it too much centered (vertically and horizontaly)? (I don't know)
I like your wet rusty rustic shot DArryl! I'm kinda fond of hydrants, and this is a good shot with excellent colour contrast! The authentic rust is marvelous. Tfs, Jay
