[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A red rainstorm warning was raised in Hong Kong last Friday at 11am - parts of the city recorded 150mm of rain.

I found the first newborn kitten at noon, in the carpark of my apartment block. Having no experience with cats, I had my doubts about helping it, but my kids where there and they pleaded with me to help it.

The next day, as I was returning to my home, I saw that an animal welfare organisation had come to collect another 2 newborns - of the same litter - which the management office had found.

I asked them for advice about the one I had and discovered that newborn like this are normally put to sleep - so I ended up with a family of three!!

So here is the first photo of Red, Rain and Storm - reunited - and in the box that the management office provided.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice on how to look after newborn kittens - please message me. I am trying to learn fast from web sites.

On Saturday, I was told they were 2 days old. One still hasn't fully opened its eyes. They all currently weigh 200g.

Tech: Cropped top and right. Brightness -3. Contrast +3. Added border.

Hi Andrew, your notice is excellent. The photo is very good captured the 2 kittys in this red think.
The best for the little kittys is if they suck the milk from the mother at least one month. It is really pity that they were alone on the carpark.

Hi Andrew
I wish I saw this photo sooner....I had to care for 6 orphan kittens when there mom died. It was a big job but I managed. I went to the local Vet. Clinic and they gave me lots of advise, baby bottle to feed with and special milk for kittens.

A nice closeup, there red bed brings some nice colour to the photo. TFS Janice
