[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Actually it was the first photo I took at the pub that afternoon. Jean was not ready for photos. She was talking to her friend. I found it could be an excellent point of view, so I took out my camera and shot immediately.

I held the camera without a tripod at ISO 1600, F5 and 3/10". You can imagine how dark it was.

There is a large dark part in the photos of the series, including this one. Some one suggested that I should cut the dark part or make it more bright. But I prefer not doing so and wish to reappear the pub atmosphere, keep the photos mysterious and provide more room for audience's imagination. What do you think?

i really like your jean-series! :-)
especially the darker ones are great.
excellent composition and light,
with only a hand, legs and part of the face
visible, creating a mysterious atmosphere.
interesting and lucky she did not move for the
30 secs exposure time.

Hi Anthony,
This is a very good low key portrait photo! I like very much the large dark part that you didn't modify!
How can you manage this sharpness with the 30 sec expo? (or it is a mistake in the info)
