Really nice urban image Sylvie, your angle was well chosen, you've not commented on it, but this is a very humourous image too, 'we slip', and the one way sign pointing down, great foresight!

what can i say when looking at such perfect art work! Sylvie,i am so grateful that u take on such marvelous image about HK in the 'photo language',as good as the sort from Morocco~ it's blue and golden in dezert,but exciting and busy and full of informations here...:)
great composition with the diagonal lines ,and the traffic mark was actually standing at the wonderful place!!

alors là , je m'incline... du grand, du beau, du comme je les aime! Mais celle ci meritait plus TE je crois... la beauté mérite TE... elle meriterait en tt cas un score élevé car c'est avec ton nageur ma photo préférée à ce jour de ton voyage à HK!!
je laisse à pascal le soin de te décortiquer la photo, mais en gros, j'adore le tilt, les couleurs, le PDV et la compo en général...
suis bluffé et heureux! Bravo ma fille!

Beautiful composition Sylvie. This does exude the same mood as the movie "in the mood for love". I love the movie and looking forward to watch it's sequel 2046 (just showing here). I love this series of HK photos especially with those giant posters that HK is so abundant of. You've captured these regular looking sites and transformed them into a work of art!

I can't explain why, but I liked this photo, Sylvie...; perhaps because it is almost like an advertising campaign, this and some of your other photos are powerfull, as if they were part of an advertising campaign, like I said before. Very good work, I liked it!

Flippé, slippé, et dans le bon sens, graphique un peu, beau certainement, c'est bien fait, les dégradés, sur les géantes, tout pour le régal de l'oeil.

Salut Sylvie, trop naze pour traduire ta note, alors je regarde la photo sans savoir ce que veut dire le verbe "slip"
j'aime beaucoup les couleurs et le rappel du bleu/gris à gauche. une voie imposée par la signalytique sur la gauche vers ce poster géant de femme, un sens unique ? on ne peut pas ignorer ce panneau, tu t'en es servi comme axe d'inclinaison. c'est une bonne construction inclinée, mais je fais de la résistance c'est l'épaule à droite que je préfère :-)
je te taquine, c'est du bon boulot

La tout est dans le cadrage. Superbement réalisé.
Et dans le cadrage on trouve les angles, les couleurs... Superbe composition, autrement plus complexe qu'une goute d'eau... (mais moins transparente)

Another great piece from HK. Nice idea with the diagonal framing, and I really like your cropping with the one-way sign emerging precisely from the bottom right corner. Of course the sign also makes an odd but well-fitting blend with the poster and writing behind. Thanks, Sylvie, well done.

life is a one way street - there's no going back, however... if we think that every problem has just ONE WAY solution - most often WE SLIP... and then we just stand up, gather up, turn around and choose the other direction understanding that every problem has different ways to solve it. :P

You quote a great film there, and the more I look at the photo, the more I detect the link - and the inspiration I guess. I find the eye goes round in funny circles looking at this. Interesting.

Me encantan las composiciones que haces con elementos urbanos. Hay que tener gran agudeza visual para fijarse en las disposición de los elementos, y después componerlos en el visor de la cámara.

I see the billboards have a lot of potential. What I like in them is that things presented are couple of times larger than in reality. And in confrontation with reality are surprising, shocking.

I like exposure and the fact it's tilted. There are mostly two colors - violet and yellow, but violet is repeated twice, having yellow inside and black too.

Sylvie, I really like this shot a lot.. but for some strange reason -that I can't figured it out yet- it gives me a feeling of sadness or loneliness..
Love your tilt frame and the tones of the composition.
