This is Steve, a TrekEarth photographer who followed my notes about Yuanyang to come and to complain that he failed to catch the desired pictures of this destination.
Learning that I was returning, he waited for me at Lao Cai train station and we went back to Yuanyang together where I shot this picture as he was busy with his equipment over the terraced fields.
In town, he became my local guide since he spent more time exploring the streets and alleys and photographic spots than I did two years ago. Finally, we discovered that his failure is due to weather because by the time he was there, there was no cloud.
As a result, instead of learning from me, he shared with me a lot of experience and photographic tips.
