Hi Anneke, thanks for sharing that information about pet birds in China. Never thought one could carry them around everywhere they go! ;) They must make a beautiful chirping sound, I am sure. Very good shot of these bird cages, the details and tonalities are excellent, even though it looks like a somewhat cloudy or overcast day you can see all these rich contrasts on the stone ground and on the cages. Great point of view from only slightly above to get a sense of the cages' cylindrical forms. Good framing too with the cages off-center, although I would say the largest cage is slightly too centered in the shot. Really nice natural colors and good shallow depth of field. I am thinking that if you want to show how these birds are carried around by their owners in the city, you might want to use a point of view that shows the bird cage in the foreground, but the owners sitting and playing cards (or doing whatever it is they were doing) in the background to make the connection and reveal the birds as pets. Really wonderful shot though, very well done and great quality, TFS!

Wonderful shot here Anneke! Nice composition of the three size cages! Love the mood of this shot, the low lighting, the rusty cage! Very nice!

Hello Anneke !

A nice stree scene and piece of info. I might suggest here either to take away completely the foot, as we do not see it enough to be useful. I would either have opted to include both feet and show them completely , to demonstrate your note. ( pets with owner ). Just a thought!

Goedenavond Anneke,
Kleinkinderen naar huis, dus weer even TL tijd.
Al je foto's zijn fantastisch - zo ook weer deze.
Dus ze sjouwen hun volgeltjes mee als ze naar buiten gaan? Toch wel lief en de kooitjes zijn erg mooi. Heerlijk sfeertje zo.

Hi Anneke,
Soms mag je ze voor geld loslaten. dat brengt geluk.
Bij Chinezen brengt alles geluk. Vooral drie keer ergens omheen lopen;-)
Daarna vangen ze de vogels weer.
