Hi Folks
Technically not a perfect picture but well I wanted to share it with you before going to the rice field.
On our long walk through Jian Shui we saw quite a lot of horses pulling whatever. Now I spotted this one in front of a bike shop with a bike riding in the same picture. This doesn't happen that often so I felt lucky ;)
Well Horse Power says everything here. I just selected part of the picture and desaturated it to show the old horsepower and the new one.
Enjoy your day
David

Hi David

This is nice idea, the clash of 2 generations and I like your idea of make it two colour scheme the BW and full colour... congrats

Amri HMS

Hello David,
An interesting contrast between the old and the new!
Maybe the unusual fact is both means of transportation are in daily use at the same time?
Well China is big and full of contrasts like this and even stronger...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello David.
Very nice compilage.
I specially like the Yamaha with the one HP. haha
Good job you made of it.
Jan

Good idea--if you shifted the border between the colour and the b+w areas a bit to the right so that it went down the middle of the pillar it would be more obvious that it's the same photo and not a montage.
Hope you enjoyed the rice fields.

Bravo David!
Good idea! Wonderful contrast!
Good composition and colors!
TFS, Best regards, Zorica

Nice contrast here between various kinds of horse power, David... I also like the mixed b&w and colour which enhances err... modern times, I guess ;o). But I'm also curious what it would look like with the horse in colour and the bike in b&w.
Anyway, TFS

Hi David,
Good idea splitting the image into two, quite a startling comparison.
On our trip through China we saw lots of people riding carts pulled by what looked like rotary hoes. We nicknamed them one lungas.
Cheers,
Pete.

Very creative presentation and a perfect way of highlighting the nature of new and old.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
