Yet another shot, of the Great Wall of China. I liked the curves, in this viewpoint. The wall was constructed to keep out Mongol invaders. Ghenghis Khan actually burnt Beijing to the ground, after his successful invasion of China.

Taken towards the very end of May, & temperatures were around the 36c mark, which is why some people are using umbrellas, even though there isn't a cloud in the sky.

I heard that the only way invaders were able to get over / through the Wall was by giving bribes to the guards. True or false?

This is an interesting image Chris with us being able to see so many glimpses of the wall as it rises and twists and turns on the hills - Good one!

Janice

Nice curves ;-)

Great shot.

Hello Chris,

I find this shot so very interesting!
The wall itself makes the most wonderful leading-line to guide the eyes nonchalently around the photograph!
The detail and the colours are very good!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

And yet another exciting and interesting POV, Chris. It is so neat to wake each day and wonder where you will take us. I like how the texture of the wall and the trees are so sharp . I can only imagine how great it would be to walk here. Excellent.
Warm Regards

Hi Chris,
a view that we have seen many times in pictures, but still interesting to look at. I am really surprised that given the very high temperature, the image is very clear. I would have expected it to be hazy.
