[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just had a flying visit back to Hong Kong and, while rushing to catch my flight back to Singapore, sneaked in a couple of shots of the futuristic airport.

I've snapped this place before, in this shot.

I think the place lends itself to fisheye shots.

Not sure what else to say, it's a snap inside an airport converted to b/w. That about sums it up :-)

ISO 320, f4, 1/125

Shot in RAW, converted to jpeg and b/w, resized and sharpened.

Thanks for viewing my Carnivorous

I love the fish eye effect here Richard! And the tilt is superb. But the BEST is the BW tones here, so nice and sharp, smoothness and all sorts of varying grades of gray! Love it!

Hi Richard

There is a time and place for the fisheye and this is it - like the long curved lines and the texture of the ceiling. You POV adds to the "futuristicness" of the the airport.

Been away for a few days and I'm catching up.

Hi Richard
The results are amazing. I had so many fisheye shots when I started photographing that I had to correct that I wondered why anyone would want one, and now I know. Super shot as it does look futuristic

This is a stunning and artistic fish eye image Richard,
I love how you used the lines and created a unique one-of-a-kind image,
great BW conversion.
Brilliant work.

Hehe ... nice to see you using the fisheye with a very creative approach. The sign of a photographer who is really starting to master his equiupment.

You talked a while ago about wanting to develop your own distinctive style - I'd say this is probably it, the b&w slice of life (not necessarily with the wide-angle, but often enough.)

Shall we call it the Arabesque?

Nice work anyway!

Hi Richard,
I like the result. The fisheye had helped to create a stunning and beautiful spherical perspective. The impressive clarity and sharpness are another strong impact for this shot.

I am also impressed with the graphism, beautiful and interesting pattern of the architecture, Richard.
Thank you very much for sharing.

Ramdan.

Hi Richard,

I love black and white photos and they seem to be making quite a comeback. This is an exceptional view of an airport. All of the lines on the ceiling as well as the moving walks lead my eyes all the way through the airport. Feel like I've got a loooooooooong way to go to catch that plane. I've never used fisheye lens before, but I find the photo very intriguing. tfs, Lisa

Hi Richard, This cries out "The future is here now!" Well seen and presented. The B&W works well here. That ceiling is really something special. TFS. Murray.

Hi Richard,

It's always interesting to see the results from using a fish eye lens.

The lines and curves, immediately draw you in deep, which is what I especially like about your photograph. There's a a lot going on, however those arcs create a balanced flow.

Well done. It's a very unique and creative approach to photography.
