| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I took this picture on an adoption trip in 2005. The Forbidden City is one of my favorite places to vist for may reasons. One is the history associated with this place and the other is the architecture. The detail and color in Chinese architecture is so much more impressive than where I live. It was very cloudy the day I took this photo so maybe the colors aren't has bright as they could be. Any thought on how I could improve this picture are welcome. |

Hi Kevin
This is a wonderful photo I love the details.
I like natural colors specially historic place such as this.
Hi, Kevin,
A nice Chinese Profiled Roofs.
It's a pity you haven't enjoyed a nice sunny weather;otherwise,I'm sure, this place might have loomed up in its full splendor.
I'll try to fiddle with some WS,if you don't mind.
TFS
Valerka:)
P.S. Tomorrow,I'll post another version to beautify the shot:)
This is a original view on the Forbidden City.
I greatly appreciate these roofs typical half-hidden by trees.
It is unfortunate that the sky is so white, but I know that the weather in China and Beijing, especially, can be difficult.
good shot all the same... :-)
thx
I like this--it's a well-chosen view of a very big place. I'd get rid of the little black lines over the roof of the tallest building.
Hello Kevin,
I just wrote you a note directly because I noticed that after I created a workshop that I hadn't written a critique.
I was please with what I was able to do with your photo in workshop. What do you think? I think one of the advantages of digital photography, is that we can change the colors and lighting so much so that a somewhat boring photo can be brought to life.
thanks,
Richard
Hi Kevin:
I really enjoy this one for the composition so well balanced with the three gables nicely stacked and bordered by the two trees. the light is good here, very subdued and the colours look true to the weather.... impressive photo .. thanks Kevin....Roman:0)
