| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Having not been blessed with good light for my entire trip to Xinjiang last week, I decided to look at the smaller detail of things where light wouldn't matter so much. All of the lichen on the rocks around the lake were a brilliant orange colour, and I decided to have a go capturing it.
I generally take all my photos in the blandest, most colourless and contrastless format I can, as I feel it makes post processing much easier, and that's what I've done here but I'm not sure if the saturation is a bit OTT. I deliberately only focused one band of it as I liked the effect, but what do you think?
Any advice for further attempts would be much apreciated! |

Nothing wrong with the light here--well done. The patch of white really stands out from its surroundings.
