[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
New on the racks this week, this shirt provides a pretty striking contrast to the "I 'heart' China" and "I 'heart' China more than ever" shirts that are seen all over the place these days. Self-love certainly costs more--you can buy ten (probably more if you're dealing in those numbers) of the patriotic ones for the price of one of these. It's not exactly the same ratio, but the number of collectivist cultures in the world does outnumber that of individualist cultures, which comes as a surprise, I think, to those in the minority. (The higher price, I should point out, does include the extra button. And you may not have noticed the faint letters under the left eye that spell out the word, "ONLY". That goes along well with the exclamation mark to virtually assure that the person wearing the shirt is loved by one, and only one person: herself. Without the "only" and the punctuation mark, this could perhaps be seen as an expression of a healthy self-image. But it's not.)

PP: cropped and leveled and some black added on the left to get rid of some distracting elements.
