[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my daughter Freja. She turned 1½ yesterday.

I tried to setup my lights in the livingroom but she couldn't stand still. It was sort hit or miss with regards to her being in the lights or not.

I thought this one came out pretty good even though the shadows are darker than what I was aiming at.

This one is a high contrast version.

In photoshop I started with duplicating the original layer (ctrl+j) and pressing grey scaled the new layer (ctrl+shift+u). I then dublicated the newly created layer (ctrl+j). For the first layer I created I set the blending mode to Soft Light and for the second layer I set the blending mode to Screen. I then stamp all the layers together (ctrl+shift+alt+e) and set the blending mode to multiply and the opacity to about 30%.

I like the desaturated effect and I think it looks really nice if you saturate areas like the eyes and mouth a little bit.

I uploaded the original as a workshop together with one in black and white.

I'd like to know what you think.
