[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While looking down the small hill at the village waiting the sunrise, the sleeping village came to life all of a sudden and then that is what you see here, not on fire but the smoke of the cooking of breakfast...Shot at Bashang, Hebei Prov. China.
Hope you enjoy this scene. Thanks.

Hi Sarge,

it looks like a house stampedo of somekind :)
Angry houses in attack with dust going up behind them. It reminds me of old movies when people on horses made that kind of clouds of dust.
Of course it just reminds me...here the reason for this phenomenon is completely different but it makes very dynamic and most picturesque scenery.
Exccellent shot!

My best,
Jeri

Very interesting shot. Great contrast, tones, lighting, details, and POV. That is really a LOT of smoke.
Well done Sarge!

Wow, an impressive scene - one of the few times that shooting into the sun really pays off. I love how you've captured the smoke so beautifully highlighted.

The gradient from light to dark above the village is powerful too; it suggests unknown elements and emphasises the smallness and vulnerability of the houses.
