[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi
Since a few days back from Guilin but it took me a few days before I had the feeling to look at my pix. There not realy good since the weather was terrible. So what do you do... you photoshop them. And here you have the result. I found this in blending options, color overlay and then I did something else but not sure what ;). I'll try it again and if you want I will let you know.
Hope you like it.
Oh yeah the fisher man, most of you know he uses birds I guess. He ties a wire around their neck so they can not swallow the big ones and they bring it to their master.
Cheers and Happy New Year
David

Hoi David,

Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar, David.
The results of your experiment looks good. Pity the front commorant is not full in the picture.
It will be a nice excercise to make a 'pen drawning' of it.
Groeten uit een koud Holland.

Hi David, I really like the effect of the photoshop work you did. Great job.
I've heard of these fishermen - must have been interesting to see.
Trudy
By the way, I really enjoyed the video that you suggested in the forum. Compelling - I couldn't quit watching once I started. Thanks for that.

hello David

Good to see you posting again after the trip, hoping that you had a good festive season over last few days.

If you know that one photograph on Treksites was awarded an honor for a photo at sunset of fisherman and cormorant. So I am wondering if you would be the next one to get an award for a similar photo theme. Let me know if you have such opportunity and the next thing I will do is to fly out to Guilin and shoot the scenery!

I cannot remember if this is the same fisherman! :)

I like the composition of this shot, it really does not matter the conversion of color tone. This looks like a very old print hanging on the wall.

Good shooting and Happy 2009 to you.

tfs, bill

Hi David,
A splendid work of cormorants and a fisherman from a nice POV with nice composition.
TFS and cheers,

Wow David... dit is geweldig!
Ik vind de bewerking van deze visser echt heel mooi. ik denk dat deze het zo heel mooi zou doen als afdruk.
prachtig werk hoor!
