This is quite an attractive picture. My answer would be either clay or rock, rock would be my first choice.
This reminds me of old rock carvings, as you may see here in east orient. if I was asked, I would say that I see:
A chinese dragon, two shrimps, warriors'faces, A not so oriental giant golem'face, a rose, and a few other things...
It is funny to see how natural things let your imagination go, no?
I also liked visiting your gallery. I like your point of view.
