Your description of this shot says it well there seems to be a certain amount of hopelessness in their expressions just sitting and gazing off at nothing. The muted colours you have used in the shot add to this feeling and the shaded lighting brings out the texture in the faces and wall behind without harsh shadows. The crop to me seems a little tight there's no room around them (although you may have wanted that boxed in feel) or perhaps just including their hands in the frame would also work.

Bonjour Marek,
J'aime beaucoup ce double portrait avec ces nuances, les visages dégagent vraiment quelquechose de dur et sensible.
Et puis, la texture de ce mur apporte une dimension rude.
