[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the most wonderful roofs in the world are in China. The lines are just great to take pictures of also the colors are great. The colors differ; you have green roofs, yellow/gold roofs and grey roofs.
Green roofs symbolise bamboo and yellow roofs are imperial. I'm not sure about grey roofs, maybe just common ones.
The picture is taken in the Summer Palace (imperial) on my two days through Beijing.

Bijna abstract David.
Het is echt de kleur zoals ik het me herinner... net niet goudgeel en net niet oranje.
Een bijzondere plaat van een bijzondere plek.

What an unusual shot. A very creative POV on an everyday(ish) subject. Beautiful balance, symmetry, and light - with those natural gradients through the frame. The variations in colour and texture make this a compelling shot indeed.

i agreed with you David.. but i like the grey roofs.. i saw that in tv i think it was full of character :) anyway from the thumbnail this roof look like a corn.. hehe.. at least to me..
