[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at Temple Street Markets in Hong Kong. This is the temple that gives the markets their name. The coiled incense for each spiral are lit, & burn slowly.

very colorful scene typical of a Chinese setting where the reds dominate everywhere! the sharpness of the foreground is very appropriate here coz the bigger coils are the main subject which are also in the same distance as the table and chairs. very well seen, Chris.

Is it my favorite Chinese restaurant in Paris which looks like this temple or reverse :)))
Despite difficulties on the background I find this is a good composition with typical colors from there, the "nature morte" at front is well done.

It's a very busy picture, like everything that is Chinese! In a sense, probably too many elements; on the other hand, that what it is: a typical Chinese restaurant. The background is a bit problematic. Maybe I would have focused my shot on the coils, which look very good, just to create something different, more abstract. Still, a good shot, full of details!

i like the red colors everywhere :) red is a lucky color for chinese :)
the coil incense is not commonly seen, usually find them in older temples

this is perfect for my "Superstition" theme :)
