A nomad I will remain for life, in love with distant and uncharted places..

Hey ya all!!!!!!!!!!! Yes after much long time I'm (finally) back:) Yes, I did miss looking all those wonderful pictures posted by you all but slowly and with complete patience I'll start from where I left.

I along with my hubby was on a short tour to the central state of India, which is also known as Heart Of India; Madya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh is dominated by the Tribal population. The differences in the tribal community, spread over in various parts of the state, is clearly seen not only on the basis of their heredity, lifestyle and cultural traditions, but also from their social, economic structure, religious beliefs and their language and speech. And this time majorly I'll be sharing some Nomadic pictures on TL. Hope that you'll enjoy! This is an experimental picture where I wanted to give maximum grain effect..don't know but these days I like to give this effect to my pictures!!

Have A wonderful time!
Cheers,
Shubhi:)

Hello Shubhi,
I like the grainy effect as it allows the image to look aged and under storm. With this image you have shown the difference in cultures well, the goat herder, and the fuel trucks passing the older customs without thought to the herder's freedoms. Life without modern amenities can be harsh, but it is only harsh once you have become accustomed to the opposite.
Many times I have wished to live in another time, in another place, without the rush of today's lifestyles, where one can enjoy the fresh air of the mornings, and the sunset without being stuck in traffic on the way home from work...
Welcome back my friend,
Steve

Very grainy indeed, but I quite like the 'old photo' effect this gives.

A couple of negatives - the horizon/photo seems tilted quite badly to the left, some rotation clockwise might fix that.

And the placement of the main subject - the woman in red - is very central to the shot, it might have been better if she was alternatively placed.

Overall though, an enigmatic glimpse into your world that almost seems to be through the haze of time.

hi Shubi

Good to see your post again.

Apart from comments on the tilt and center placement of red girl, I am not a fan of such grain effect because I think your original photo has sufficient color tone to make it more interesting about this daily life shot. Perhaps I would try very shallow DOF to focus on the girl and slightly blur out the rest.

I surely will crop out most of the grass at the FG bottom. Maybe 2s earlier when the girl is at left?

I believe the strong light can make the girl stands out in red, so I prefer non-grainy. Just my opinion!

Greetings from Borneo.
