| It is common now for rickshaw and taxi drivers to agree on a huge fare, and not let you find someone else, at train, bus stations and airports, across Asia. This man wants 15 times the going rate in Puri, Orissa. He followed me out to the street from my train car. He is drunk, and tried to punch me, because I refused to hire him. The crowd stopped him. I took my bags into the street and got an old man going by on a peddle rickshaw. The drunken rickshaw man tried to knock my bags out of the cycle, but the crowd stopped him again, and I went off into a black night in Puri. If you refuse to hire the crooks, they chase away anyone honest that offers to take you for the correct fare. They say rude things and make obscene gestures. They act like animals. The government should take steps to stop this, or there will be no tourists one day. Here he is trying to chase away the old man on a rickshaw. |

Hi gloria
A good photojournalistic shot, let down a little, by the technical quality. I would crop above the bright highlight of the fg thumb, & apply an unshap mask to the man at the back. Good note & excellent graphism. Well done!
