[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The dome of the ancient Sun Temple in Konark, built in the 1200's. Once it boosted a 70m. high tower also. The last part of the tower fell in 1836. Restoration work can be seen in plain blocks replacing carved ones which have eroded or were ruined by invaders. The entrances were sealed with huge plain blocks in 1903, to "protect" the interior. Is the Sun God sealed inside the blackness, removed to another temple or stolen? This World Heritage temple is huge, and fascinating on the outside, what wonders are locked inside?

interesting temple indeed! is the restoration been ongoing? i can see the bars of scaffolding were getting rusty.
