| The Sikh drummers resting, from the Sikh bagpipers marching band, at their yearly festival. The holy book was carried on a palaquin to a tent, which then rested on the stage. Prayers were offered. A meal was served, and tea. Musicans also provided singing. Sikhs work to help those less fortunate regardless of religion. They usually cover their uncut hair, wear a steel bracelet, and carry a sword. Everyone was so freindly and kind at the festival. I am very impressed. I was allowed to take all the pictures I wanted. (In some parts of India, Hindu or government festivals are really only for the elite.) |

Hi Gloria
A good group portrait, that also doubles as a superb daily life shot, of these costumed marchers. Sharpness is okay, & lighting & color, superb. Well done!
Hi Gloria!
Very nice people photo.. I like their mood which you captured nicely. Did you have some of that Indian curry and tea? hmmm! yummy!
I think the white balance is a bit off or it could be my monitor cause I'm at work now...
I just got back from asia and should be posting soon!
All the best!
Skye
The friendship between men is something that has always fascinated me. Just look at the smile of the guy that is second from the right... This is the male variety of giggly girl groups... Great people shot! :)
