This freedom fighter with a Gandhi Topi pays his silent homage at the memorial built at Jallianwala Bagh, the park where thousands of unarmed Indians were martyred under the bullets of General Dyer on 13th April 1919 thus marking an important chapter in the history of India's Freedom Struggle.
Today, even the Gandhi Topi and the honest heads which wear it are far outnumbered by dishonest politians. Even the main gate of this memorial was not spared and a poster of a political party's 'parda faash' rally was stuck on it. We are free, but the struggle continues... |
