Harimandir, or the Golden Temple in Amritsar, is the holiest place for Sikhs, thousands of whom fill I the temple with the spirit of devotion every day. Water in the pool around the temple (called “Pool of the Nectar of Immortality”, or Amritsar) is believed to be sacred and devotees are willingly queuing for a purifying bath.
You might want to check out my blog for more details about the destination. |
