An old photo .. the quality isn't great, but the story you tell with it completes the painting for me. This shot really makes you feel the heat - love the daily life scene here, cow walking down the street, man reading the paper, woman in background .. really interesting Jan.

Hi Jan,

perfect shot for daily life, good use of light and shadow and warm colors... it looks like it was realy hot and sweaty weather... and in a way you could easily feel lost, all the alleys and houses and people... but it will be nice to stroll on these old streets with the sitar music in the BG... am trying to imagine the scene you described in your note.. anyway great work..

Hoi Jan,
Tja, hoewel niet helemaal scherp, als al opgemerkt door Jan, toch een hele typische sfeer plaat. Die krantenleznede man is wel een heel mooi detail. De foto "ademd" India en dat is perfect vastgelegd! Ondanks de diascan een fijne foto.

Dia's scannen....ik moet er nog enkele duizenden en waarom, waarvoor....zal er ooit nog iemand naar kijken?
Ik ben blij dat jij deze heb gescand en hier presenteert.
Schitterend beeld uit India van 20 jaar geleden.
Ik denk dat dit beeld en deze sfeer nog steeds hetzelfde is....

What good memories from years back you've got here Jan the type of daily life scene i also experienced in 1980, wow you braved the heat of April ,hum i did not dare preferring the early months of the year , more bearable, he he , thanks for sharing anyway , the quality of the shot is quite good considering you processed it from a scanner , i'd say you could have sharpened it up a wee bit , nevertheless my kind of shot,interesting note i can imagine what you have felt... all too well ...

Brilliant scene and your notes just helped to draw me in ..I was intrigued . Colors and detail are perfect ..you show the dereliction within the street with conviction and portay the animals and people with religious sentiment ..love it
