I find white color quite soothing and peaceful.I shot this flower in my backyard.Picture was cropped,contrast increased through level adjustment of mid tone and touch up a bit using dodge tool(25%exposure).

Wow....you have used your maximum shutter speed here to capture a stationary flower. I think you could have used a much slower shutter speed and ISO using larger aperture to give more clarity and depth into this flower. The light seems very direct here and the extreme crop seems to have robbed the petals critical sharpness and seems pixallated. I would love to hear what others may feel about my comment/critique.

Hi SP:
An excellent attemp...shooting whites in direct ambient or flash is very hard because it eats up the details...also F/stop may be a f/5.6-8.0 if you are looking for a better depth to have verything in focus.
Less ISO will give you more details & shadows...
I do like the way uou hace cropped it a bit off-centerd...and you do have a photographic eyes:)
