Hi TekLens Friends:
Hi TrekLens:
This is for all my new friends here...keep shooting & posting.
So here is a portrait of a bird sitting at 300/1 mm distance !
I am here checking out the depth-of-field range for my 300mm lens. Holding long barrel I tested this at F/5.6.
I did nothing to this image other than fitting this frame and slightly increasing the sharpness (since it lost a lot when reduced). It is posted as it is with no other fix.
I wonder what he thought when he saw the camera in my hand pointed at him?
I felt like he was saying,
"Go ahead, Make my day!"
I had a small break so this post is up.
David

Good Morning David,

What a fine shot of this wide-eyed bird!
You have captured fine textural and pattern details of its plummage.
I like your pp work which makes me feel that it is just about to descend onto my desk!

Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Bonjour David,

Nice bird portrait. Excellent sharpness and exposure. Shallow DOF looks wonderfull. Presentation is kind of orginial, it shows good PP technic but I don't personnally use it. I am pretty sure your original image was good enough without this kind of presentation. But TL is a place to show our imgages and our photographic technic and knowledge. And this kind of presentation shows you know more than just pressing the shutter. Splendid image and TFS.
