There is a Rhododendron sanctuary on the way to Yungthang valley from Lachung, a small town in North Sikkim. Go there in summer which starts in April, you see a plenty of brilliantly red coloured Rhododendron flowers all over the places. Although this purple colour, we found, was not so common there at that time. Rhododendrons of some other colours are found in west Sikkim.
I know that the quality of this capture has not been so good. But I had to climb little up the hill with the camera to somehow capture this with sunlight not helping. |
