Silk
-----
Silk has been intermingled with the life and culture of the Indians. Saree, which is the traditional costume of Indian woman since time immemorial, is almost synonymous with the word "silk."

The artistic and aesthetic sense of Indian weavers is not content with striking colours they choose for the fabrics, but lies in their mastery over the creation of floral designs, beautiful textures, fine geometry and the durability of such work. The weaver not only weaves with yarn but with intense feeling and emotion.

Today, Indian silks, especially the handloom products, remain the most beautiful and cherished the world over!

=======================================================

Hey friends, this shot was taken under natural light. I was choosing to wear one Saree when thought of sharing one with you.
Havn't done anything except for using blur tool on the top-left.

Have A Warm, Bright An Colorful Weekend!

Cheers&Joy,
Shubhi:)

Hi Shubhi,

you know what I like the best in your photo?
The Feeling of silk...
You used wonderful light conditions at best to enhance the softness and smoothness of it. Gentle semi transparency is felt greatly and provides us with notion of airness and lightness. Not to mention wonderful colour contrast.
Gentle, caring, sensual...silk.

Lovely w-end,
Jeri

hello Shubhi
how are you?
facinating blue silk
it sems the red and blue has made a proper coctail here. lighting is fine.i'll not praise this shot anymore, because i have found some noise around on the red and on some part of blue. is it the expouser or the ISO? you could have tried PS for some more smoothness to achieve more silk quality. (i hope you wont mind)

rest is all fine.

regards
MAnuj MEhta

hello Shubhi

Superb mix of red, blue silk cloth for making sari. Very nice texture of the material in this sharp focus. Soft and delicate.

I like the use of natural light to show some shadow and shade.

Congrats, mb

Hello Shubhi,

Wonderful work, full of India! :) :)

Merry Christmas, Dear friend!

Malik & Mary.

Hi Shubhi,

Silk, no textile is more beautiful and no fabric holds colour as lovely as silk does.
I would have loved to see the orange/pink silk saree in the FG, because that one has different textures as well and those textures do reflect the light in an attractive way.
Lovely colourful job you did here.

Couleurs douces!
Originale

This is a very intensive capture. Very fresh and soft conjunction of colors. Not to talk about the different tones and light direction. Fantastic!
