Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day's occupation,
That is known as the children's hour.

I hear in the chamber above me
The patter of little feet,
The sound of a door that is opened,
And voices soft and sweet.

A whisper and then a silence:
Yet I know by their merry eyes,
They are plotting and planning together,
To take me by surprise.

A sudden rush from the stairway,
A sudden raid from the hall!
By three doors left unguarded
They enter my castle wall!

I have you fast in my fortress
And will not let you depart,
But put you down in the dungeon
In the round-tower of my heart.

And there will I keep you forever,
Yes, forever and a day,
Till the walls shall crumble to ruin,
And moulder in dust away!

Hi Shubhi,

it is good to see you and your little one again. I hope you are doing OK. :)

Really nice portrait with gentle light and just the right amount of softness...I think that is the right way to take images of children, because their innocence demands for a bit softer photos.

Cute pose and great shot. She is really a wonderful child.

Were you looking anything like this as a little girl? With a big dream and hope?

Although not very sharp because of 1/10s, the mood is nice. I would have cropped the right space so that she is not so central.

Obviously she is in motion as can be seen by the hands and feet, so 1/10s is not a good one for this purpose.

I like the naturalness of this shot, the shy angle of her head, the "I'm posing for your shot but I really want to be playing with the ball" pose.

Suggestion: if you look through your viewfinder and see a shutter speed of 1/10s, it's a sign you should find more light. Few people, if any, can get a clean shot at such a slow shutter speed, and motion blur spoils so many potentially great photos!
