An excellent portrait of this beautiful model with the pearl earring. i like the softer quality of the image as it does allow the image to become dreamlike and fits well with the storyline you have included in the note.

A simple, intimate study of a face; tight framing, low lighting. The eye tends towards your subject's earring of course, although her downturned eye is equally a subject for attention.

If she was looking at the camera and we could see the reflected catchlights in her eye - how much more powerful it would be!!

I like your pose, the soft lighting and smooth skin tone.
Using B/W mode is completely appropriat here. If I were you, I put a lens flare star on the pearl. Well done :)
